There has been a new shift in work dynamics in the corporate world lately, as in the need to be able to work remotely, to work-from-home. We at Khamelia foresaw this development and we built our Khamelia Software Suite to enable and encourage this new work dynamic.

There are many great reasons to adopt a work-from-home workforce. It gives the company the ability to broaden the hiring fields to areas that are not local to the company. That give the company access to other regions to mine the right candidate, and also allows for a more competitive compensation which may not be possible in the local labor market.

For example, due to the rarity of qualified cyber security analysts, companies find they need to look for non-local talent. This has been quite beneficial overall as the talent was happier working from home, was able to put in more effective hours, and provided a much higher quality service to the company.

Cloud Availability

Khamelia resides on the most secure and global cloud platform in the world, Microsoft Azure. Many large organizations, both public and private, use Azure. The U.S. Department of Defense uses Azure, as well as large global corporations such as IBM. MS Azure has even been vetted from a security and robustness perspective by the Pentagon! Microsoft has the most widespread datacenter footprint across the world that supports Azure than any of its competitors. Because Khamelia resides on Azure, a user can log into it from anywhere in the world.

Organizational Setup

Khamelia offers many ways to set up your organization withing our system. It allows a company to mimic its physical organizational setup in Khamelia, or allows for a fresh organizational setup for the cloud only. We have Workgroups, Teams, and Project teams grouping that allows for a broad multi-layered organizational design.

This very flexible capability can help management break down the workforce geographically, by time zone, or department. Khamelia offers a blank slate for its creative remote work setup.

Time Tracking

Khamelia has time tracking capabilities so you always know who on your team is logged in, when they logged in, and what tasks they are working on. Khamelia can give you amazing visibility into your workforce, to the level desired and appropriate for the work and culture.

The Khamelia Timer capability allows a user to track how much time the team member worked on the task. It has Start and Stop time, to closely assess the work time for that task. This helps with understanding the duration of the task and project, and with future schedule estimations.

Document Uploads

Khamelia allows a user to upload documents and any artifact and assign it to a project or a task. This is from requirements elicitation stage documentation, all the way to closing. We also offer reports that help track where your document resides, who uploaded it, and when the document was uploaded.

Task Alerts

Stay current with the team via Khamelia Alerts! Khamelia has the capability to set up alerts for tasks. If you have a high-visibility task or a critical task, and you want to be notified when the status of the task changes, you can set up an email alert. Once the task is completed or the status changes, you will immediately get an email with that information.
